I do believe that technology is helping communication barriers in health care because with the fast paced world, and the shortage of nurses, nurses do not have the time to walk over and communicate with another nurse time after time all day long. Now, with recent technology, they can quickly message each other on a cell phone, or they can instant message online. Technology is helping communication barriers in health care because it also allows nurses to communicate with doctors faster and more efficiently because instead of a nurse trying to locate a doctor to ask an important questions, the nurse can simply call or page the doctor on his cell phone to answer the question which in turn benefits the patient and the health care system.
